Topic 1: Fistula-In-Ano – A Treatable and Curable Problem
Dr Lim Jit Fong – General Surgeon | MBBS, FRCS (RCPS, Glasgow, United Kingdom)
Dr Lim Jit Fong graduated from NUS School of Medicine in 1995 and has been specialising in General and Colorectal Surgery since 2006. Dr Lim started his private practice at Gleneagles Medical Centre in 2011 and focuses his practice in Colorectal Surgery. He specialises in laparoscopic colorectal surgery, functional anorectal disorders and complex anorectal fistula.
Dr Lim manages anorectal ultrasound as well as management of bowel incontinence and constipation. Dr Lim was the founding Director of Pelvic Floor Disorder Service of Singapore General Hospital until the time he left SGH in 2011. Currently, Dr Lim is the President of the Society of Colorectal Surgeons (Singapore).
He also volunteers his time as Vice-President of the Society for Continence (Singapore), which is a non-profit organisation. Dr Lim is a visiting consultant at Sengkang Hospital , Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor in Department of Surgery at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
Topic 2: Evidence-based advice for men concerned about prostate cancer
Dr Jonathan Teh – Radiation Oncologist | MBBS, FRCR (Clinical Oncology, UK), FAMS
Dr Jonathan Teh Yi Hui completed his MBBS at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2002, and obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (Clinical Oncology) in 2011.
He completed a Clinical Fellowship in Oncology at the University College Hospital London from 2009 to 2011, with particular focus on Prostate, Gastrointestinal and Sarcoma oncology. Dr Teh has been actively involved in teaching medical students, residents and student radiation therapists as well as nurses.
He has trained overseas radiation oncologists on attachment under International Atomic Energy Agency programmes. He was also an examiner for the Graduate Diploma in Radiation Oncology examinations in 2013, which was conferred by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
