Planning for a holiday? Here are some useful tips that can make your holiday a healthy and pleasant one.
- GET ENOUGH SLEEP
You might be tempted to stay out late during your vacation but do try to have at least six hours of sleep every night. This will help recharge your body for the next day’s activities.
- BRING THE RIGHT FOOTWEAR
A good pair of walking shoes will help to maintain your balance and tempo as you walk the city streets (or ‘chiong’ the shopping malls!).
- PACE YOURSELF
Try not to pack several activities into one day. Space out the ‘tough’ stuff like hiking and climbing. Give yourself more time to explore a single place instead of jam packing your schedule.
- KEEP HYDRATED
Make sure you have enough to eat and drink because you will be utilising lots of energy throughout the day. And we cannot stress this enough – HYDRATE yourself even if you do not feel thirsty. We tend to forget to hydrate ourselves especially when we are in a cold country.
- BE GOOD TO YOURSELF
Take this vacation as a chance to clear your thoughts, open your heart to learn new things and explore the world. Remember, being healthy is not just a physical thing – our minds and spirits need to rest too.
